Early Life and Spiritual Development

Apostle Dr. Adam Gaines was born in 1964 in Boston, Massachusetts. In July 1985, he made a pivotal decision to embrace Christianity, which would shape the course of his life. Motivated by his commitment to faith, he commenced preaching in February 1987 and pursued theological studies at the School of Ministry of the Church of God in Christ, equipping himself for a career dedicated to ministry.

Ordination and Ministerial Mission

In July 1991, Apostle Gaines received ordination, representing a major milestone in his spiritual journey. Following this, he relocated to South Carolina in response to what he regarded as a divinely inspired assignment: to establish a church firmly rooted in scriptural teachings, acting as a source of spiritual guidance and support within the community.

Academic Recognition

On December 9, 2022, Apostle Gaines and his wife, Lady Valerie Gaines, were awarded an Honorary Doctorate Degree from the School of the Great Commission Bible College & Seminary, acknowledging their dedication and contributions to ministry.

Founding Anointed Light Church

Apostle Gaines serves as the pastor and founder of Anointed Light Church in Summerville, South Carolina. The church’s mission centers on glorifying God, promoting salvation, nurturing believers, and facilitating healing and deliverance. Under his leadership, Anointed Light Church has grown into a Spirit-filled congregation that remains firmly grounded in Biblical principles.

Family Life

Apostle Gaines is married to Dr. Lady Valerie Gaines, and together they have four children: Adam, Valeshia, Elijah, and A’keem. The Gaines family resides in Summerville, South Carolina, where they continue to serve and inspire the local community through their faith and leadership.
